meet the crooked trees

It all started with off-handed comments like, “Oh, I’m working on a book about academic murder,” murmured in stolen conversations by the office Keurig. That, or we noticed each other bringing laptops in to “write” for an hour before an opening coffee shop shift.

Once we unlocked Kindred Spirit status, a weekly workshop group formed. We no longer whisper about our “little projects.” Instead, we talk every day, often loudly, about who’s presenting a new chapter and when each other’s short stories will be published.

Now, we are the Crooked Trees. Pleased to meet ya.
